Ampersand Families

Our Story

Ampersand Families was established in 2008 to support older youth and teens in foster care in their journey to find safe, loving, and permanent families through adoption. Over the years, the organization has evolved to focus on family preservation and strengthening relative and kin connections whenever possible. By working both upstream and downstream, Ampersand Families engages relatives and kin to provide safe care for children immediately after removal from their parents, with the ultimate goal of family reunification.

Our Impact

To date, Ampersand Families has successfully helped over 500 youth join or rejoin loving families.
