Founded in 1998, the Amherst Downtown Business Association (ADBA) emerged from a collective vision of local citizens and business owners dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality of the downtown area. With the support of a Community Development Block Grant, significant improvements were made, including facade upgrades, signage enhancements, and the creation of a new parking lot. In 2002, the ADBA achieved official Main Street status, further solidifying its commitment to revitalizing the historic downtown.
