Our Story

The Americas Foundation, founded in 1989, is dedicated to promoting binational community development at the US/Mexico border. The foundation provides direct aid to disadvantaged children through the La Esperanza schools in Tijuana, which offer a full arts program combined with academics. By collaborating with volunteers and other organizations, the foundation creates cultural events and educational programs for youth in the border region.

Impact

Over the past 30 years, more than 4,000 students have attended the La Esperanza school on half to full scholarships, benefiting from programs designed to develop their multiple intelligences. The foundation's work has been at the forefront of community service, providing hope for people living at the US/Mexico border.
