Food Assistance For Homeless Veterans
Support For Veterans Facing Food Insecurity

Our Story

The American Military Encouragement Network began as an outreach of Damascus Community Church in Oregon in 2005, initially sending care packages to soldiers in Iraq. Over time, the focus shifted to assisting military families facing food insecurity. Achieving 501(c)(3) status in 2015 allowed AMEN to expand its support, ensuring that all donations are tax-deductible and that operations are run entirely by dedicated volunteers.

Our Impact

AMEN provides monthly food boxes to military families and partners with local organizations to deliver approximately 3,000 pounds of food weekly to homeless veterans and underserved individuals in Clackamas and Multnomah County.
