Founded in 2015, the American Institute of Dental Public Health (AIDPH) was established to invigorate dental public health education and create national opportunities for individuals pursuing specialty training in this vital field. Recognizing significant gaps in dental public health, particularly for underserved populations, AIDPH has evolved to focus on advocacy and education, addressing the unique oral health needs of veterans, LGBTQIA+ individuals, rural communities, and people with disabilities.
