This pivotal moment led to the establishment of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba (LFC) in 1995, dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Cuban contemporary artists. The American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba (AFLFC) was founded in 2000 to further this mission, fostering cultural exchange and understanding between the U.S. and Cuba.
