EIN: 13-5645878 · New York, NY
Our Story
The American Committee for Shaare Zedek was founded in 1949 by dedicated refugees from Germany and Holland, who were descendants of the original founders of the Hospital in Jerusalem. This passionate group began fundraising efforts individually, with women forming a Ladies Auxiliary and men establishing a Board of Directors. Over the years, the Committee has grown through fundraising dinners, concerts, and mailings, evolving into a vital support system for Shaare Zedek Medical Center, a beacon of hope for all citizens of Jerusalem.
Impact
Shaare Zedek Medical Center treats over 600,000 patients annually across its 30 inpatient departments and 70 outpatient clinics, delivering innovative and compassionate care.
