Our Story

Established by Sir Keith Murdoch in New York City in 1948, the American Australian Association is the leading privately funded nonprofit organization dedicated to broadening, strengthening, and developing ties across the Pacific. For 75 years, this organization has connected two cultures, guided people, and provided new opportunities for a diverse network of trailblazers. The consistent leadership, influence, and cooperation fostered by the Association allow for agile and effective solutions to the challenges faced by both nations.

Impact

To date, the American Australian Association has awarded more than US$16 million to over 1,100 graduates, veterans, artists, and indigenous scholars.
