Amelia Tree Conservancy
EIN: 83-1217870 · Fernandina Beach, FL
Our Story
Amelia Tree Conservancy (ATC) was established in 2013 as a community response to the destruction of beautiful live oaks at the intersection of S. Fletcher and 1st Coast Highway (A1A). Initially part of the North Florida Land Trust, ATC has grown into an independent 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving the maritime forest on Amelia Island, Florida.
Our Impact
ATC has played a pivotal role in advocating for regulations that protect Amelia Island's tree canopy, including the creation of the first tree protection ordinance. Through community engagement, ATC has raised awareness about the importance of trees and contributed to significant improvements in local tree ordinances.
