Our Story

The Ambassador’s Fund for Catholic Education was founded in November 1967 by Matthew H. McCloskey Jr., a former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland. Established to support Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Fund has provided over $63 million in financial support to various educational programs and initiatives. Its mission is to strengthen Catholic education and promote the Catholic faith, ensuring that quality education remains accessible to all.
