Founded in 1952 by Pastor Eduardo Lessa, Amazon Vida has dedicated over 70 years to serving the Amazon River communities. Under the leadership of Pastor Elmer Lessa, the organization has expanded its reach, establishing a network of churches and six seminary extensions across three countries, focusing on theology, community development, and vocational training.
Amazon Vida is committed to evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, and church planting, ensuring that every community in the Amazon has access to a healthy, multiplying church. To date, 75,000 individuals have received vital medical and dental care, and there are currently 216 seminary students being trained to lead.
