Amate House
EIN: 45-2043454 · Chicago, IL
Our Story
Established in 1984 by three seminarians from the Archdiocese of Chicago, Amate House was created as a leadership program for young adults. The name "Amate" is derived from the Latin imperative meaning "to love," reflecting the program's mission to put love into action. Young adult fellows engage in service, leadership, and personal development, addressing the needs of the city and the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Impact
Amate House fellows dedicate a year to serving their communities, working for justice alongside fellow Chicagoans. This commitment not only shapes their futures but also positively influences the lives of thousands.
