Our Story

Founded in 2010 by Jacques Sebisaho and Mimy Mudekereza, Amani Global Works emerged from the urgent needs of the Ban’Idjwi people for accessible healthcare. For over a decade, Amani has been the sole primary healthcare provider on Idjwi Island, serving over 300,000 individuals. Today, the organization is expanding its impactful model to the DRC mainland, addressing health challenges through community-based solutions.

Impact

Amani Global Works has conducted 4.9 million home visits, treated 574,366 child cases, and facilitated 8,218 facility-based pregnancy deliveries, significantly enhancing healthcare access in impoverished communities.
