Our Story
Founded in 1982 by a group of dedicated caregivers, Alzheimer’s Orange County (AlzOC) has evolved into a leading nonprofit organization focused on brain health and dementia education. After separating from the national Alzheimer’s Association in 2015, AlzOC has maintained local control to better serve the community. Today, it offers vital resources including care consultations, educational programs, and adult day health services.
Impact
In 2023, AlzOC made a significant impact by assisting 34,483 individuals in accessing local resources tailored to their needs. The organization provided free one-on-one support to 5,268 people, with a remarkable 47% increase in in-person consultations, and educated over 10,417 caregivers and healthcare professionals.
