Our Story

In 2017, Mark began collaborating with his Board at King of Kings to develop a succession plan and leadership transition strategy, anticipating his retirement in 2022. By January 2020, Mark successfully passed the leadership baton to Pastor Greg Griffith. Recognizing the challenges many churches face during such transitions, Mark and his Board committed to prayer and learning about effective leadership transitions. As a result, King of Kings not only survived but thrived in the years following this transition, paving the way for Mark's new ministry, Always Forward Ministries. The name reflects a phrase from his grandfather, "Immer Fort" or "Always Forward," symbolizing resilience in tough times.
