Our Story

Founded in 1974, Alum Rock Counseling Center addresses the academic, social, and mental health needs of at-risk youth and families in East San José, CA. In a community where many predominantly Spanish-speaking individuals struggle to access essential services, ARCC was established by dedicated community members to provide culturally proficient counseling and support. This vital work helps individuals lead healthier, safer, and more productive lives.

Impact

ARCC serves over 6,000 youth and their families each year, offering a wide range of behavioral health counseling and school-based support. The organization is committed to promoting health equity and educational equity, ensuring that high-risk youth remain safe, in school, and free from drugs and violence.
