Altrusa House of Gainesville, in partnership with Easter Seals Florida, was established to create a safe and stimulating environment for adults with disabilities or special needs. Fundraising efforts led by Altrusa International of Gainesville raised over $400,000 over eight years, culminating in the opening of the facility in October 1998.
