Our Story

Kahumana began in 1974 as a community dedicated to fostering a holistic world. Nestled in the picturesque Lualualei Valley on the sunny west side of O'ahu, Kahumana has expanded to five distinct campuses, welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds including farmers, social workers, and those transitioning from homelessness. This vibrant community celebrates Hawaii's rich natural and cultural heritage while addressing pressing local needs.

Our Impact

Since 1989, Kahumana has provided housing, employment, and resources to over 200 homeless families in Leeward Oahu, while serving more than 3,000 meals weekly to ensure food security for schools and communities.
