The Alternative Humane Society of Whatcom County was founded in 1977 with a heartfelt mission to assist dogs and cats in need. This organization is dedicated to finding loving forever homes for pets while providing a safe haven until they are adopted.

Since its inception, AHS has successfully helped over 12,000 pets find their forever homes, while also offering low-cost spay/neuter vouchers to promote responsible pet ownership.
