Teaching Tamil Language
Promoting Tamil Culture

Our Story

Alpharetta Tamil School was established in 2002 as a part of the Chinmaya Mission's Language Enrichment Program. Initially starting with just five students, the program has grown significantly, thanks to the dedication of coordinators like Ms. Sundari Kumar and Ms. Radhika Valmiki. Over the years, the curriculum has evolved, adopting the International Tamil Academy syllabus in 2009, ensuring a comprehensive education in Tamil language and culture.

Impact

Graduating students can earn high school credit in Forsyth County, and the school is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission. It also serves as an approved test center for the Seal of Biliteracy Test in Tamil.
