Founded in March 2005 by a group of passionate animal lovers, Almost Home Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to saving the lives of adoptable dogs and cats. With a focus on rescuing stray, neglected, and abandoned animals, AHF operates as a no-kill rescue, ensuring that every animal receives the care and love they deserve. The organization has expanded its reach beyond Illinois, rescuing animals from high-kill shelters in states like Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee, as well as from distant locations such as Mississippi and South Dakota.
