Alma Swim Foundation believes that the water belongs to everyone. By providing free swim lessons, the foundation empowers children and families in Black communities to experience the joy and safety of swimming. Each lesson transforms pools from places of fear into spaces of freedom and confidence.
To date, Alma Swim Foundation has awarded $10,000 in swim lesson scholarships, enabling 300 individuals to take over 500 swim lessons. The goal is to provide 1,000 swim lessons annually, addressing the critical drowning rates among Black children.
