Our Story
The Alliance for Youth Organizing, originally known as the Bus Federation, began as a grassroots coalition of young people’s organizations. This network was formed to support one another, share resources, and learn from each other’s best practices. The name 'Alliance' reflects a commitment to a larger mission of empowering youth and driving progressive change through national issue campaigns.
Impact
Since 2012, the Alliance has registered over 1.4 million voters, with 385,895 young people added to the rolls in key states since 2008. In Colorado, young voters engaged by the Alliance turned out at an impressive rate of 82% in 2016, significantly higher than their peers statewide.
