Our Story

Founded in 1997, ATV Maine was established to tackle the challenges faced by ATV riders and to promote responsible ATV use. The organization arose in response to proposed legislation that threatened to limit ATV riding due to environmental concerns and landowner disputes. By representing affiliated ATV clubs across Maine, ATV Maine has successfully facilitated the creation of a vast interconnected trail system through collaboration with landowners and local clubs.

Impact

ATV Maine has developed the largest interconnected ATV trail system in the United States, benefiting both riders and local businesses. With over 6,000 miles of trails, the organization has generated an impressive economic impact of approximately $775 million annually from ATV-related activities.
