Our Story

After more than a decade of collaboration, several organizations in the Shenandoah Valley united in 2016 to ensure their vital work continues for generations. This thoughtful process culminated in a merger in 2018, forming the Alliance for the Shenandoah Valley. By welcoming additional partners, the Alliance has expanded its reach and capacity to serve the community.

The Alliance envisions a Shenandoah Valley sustained by farms and forests, clean streams and rivers, and thriving communities.
