Our Story

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, volunteers at a local food pantry discovered a pressing need for period supplies among women and girls in the community. This revelation led to the formation of the Alliance for Period Supplies of Southwest Florida in January 2019, inspired by the first Summit for Period Poverty in Atlanta. The organization is dedicated to purchasing and distributing essential period products while raising awareness about this critical issue affecting many in Collier and Lee Counties.

Our Impact

Since its inception, the Alliance for Period Supplies of Southwest Florida has distributed over 8 million period products, ensuring that 345,330 women and girls experience worry-free, hygienic, and dignified periods.
