Our Story
Rooted in faith, the Alliance for Children Everywhere (ACE) began with the vision of Jennie Woods in 1969, who recognized the urgent need for emergency rescue and childcare for orphaned and vulnerable children on Apache and Navajo reservations. Over the years, ACE has expanded its mission to serve children in Africa, particularly in Zambia, where the HIV/AIDS crisis and high unemployment rates have left many children in dire situations.
In 1998, ACE launched operations in Lusaka, partnering with local church leaders to establish crisis nurseries for orphaned and abandoned children. By fostering a sense of family that transcends traditional kinship groups, ACE has facilitated over 1,000 domestic placements through reintegration, fostering, and adoption, ensuring that children find loving homes.
