In the spring of 1976, a group of University of Montana rugby players formed the Missoula All-Maggots Rugby Club. The name 'Maggots' was inspired by a Canadian reference, and the team has since evolved into one of the premier rugby clubs in the northwestern United States, proudly playing at the renowned Maggot Rugby Park.
The Maggots have achieved remarkable success, winning multiple Montana State Championships and touring internationally to promote rugby and camaraderie, fostering a strong community spirit.
