Our Story
Founded in 2010 by Nina M. Guzmán during her college internship, Alianzas de Phoenixville emerged from a collaborative effort involving municipal officials, the Phoenixville School District, and Phoenixville Hospital. This diverse coalition aimed to address the needs of the Latino community through public town hall meetings, fostering trust and accountability among community members. In 2012, Alianzas began its operations under the fiscal sponsorship of Orion Communications, with Ms. Guzmán serving as the part-time director of The Alianzas Latino Outreach. Achieving 501c3 status in 2015, Alianzas stands as the only nonprofit organization in the area dedicated to supporting diverse immigrant communities, providing a welcoming space that connects individuals to essential resources for living with dignity and achieving success.
