Alexandria Tutoring Consortium
EIN: 56-2542869 · Alexandria, VA
Our Story
Founded in 1996, the Alexandria Tutoring Consortium was established by community leaders in response to the Alexandria City Public Schools' 'Primary Initiative' program. This initiative aimed to ensure that all students could read and perform math at grade level by the end of second grade. In 2006, ATC became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, expanding its volunteer base to meet the increasing demand for reading tutors.
