Our Story

Founded in 1888 by the women of Charlotte’s First and Second Presbyterian Churches, Alexander Youth Network began as a rescue mission for women and children. Today, it focuses on children suffering from emotional disturbances and mental illness, offering vital mental health services across North Carolina.
