The Albuquerque Sign Language Academy was founded by passionate educators and parents who sought a transformative educational experience for deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing children. As the only state-certified dual-language ASL-English program in the nation, the ASL Academy is at the forefront of deaf education reform in New Mexico. Serving 100 students from grades K-12, the Academy emphasizes inclusion and support for students with diverse abilities, including those with special needs.
