Founded in 1993, the Alaska Run for Women began as an alternative to the Alaska Women’s Run, quickly growing into one of the largest all-women runs in the country. With over 758 participants in its inaugural year, this event now unites thousands of women from across Alaska and beyond, showcasing the incredible talents of female athletes.

Since its inception, the Alaska Run for Women has raised over $5.7 million for breast cancer programs and services, significantly enhancing awareness and education about breast cancer. This funding has provided essential services, including donated mammograms for low-income women.
