Our Story
In 1998, leading experts in injury prevention in Alaska united to create a systematic approach to measuring and evaluating injury prevention. With a grant from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Alaska Injury Prevention Center was established, later renamed the Center for Safe Alaskans in 2018. This organization focuses on innovative, data-driven strategies to enhance safety and wellbeing for all Alaskans.
