The Alaska Farmland Trust was founded in 2005 with the support of the Alaska Rural Rehabilitation Corporation. This organization is dedicated to protecting farmlands in Alaska from development, working closely with landowners to conserve agricultural land through conservation easements. By ensuring these lands remain productive, the Trust is committed to preserving Alaska's agricultural heritage for future generations.
