Empowering Alaskans with Vision Loss
The Alaska Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is dedicated to eliminating vision loss as a barrier to employment, community participation, and quality of life. As the only statewide training and resource center for vision rehabilitation, the Center has been serving Alaskans since 1977. With a facility in Anchorage and outreach to villages across the state, the Center provides essential services to individuals of all ages, from teenagers to seniors.
Making a Lasting Impact
Through a comprehensive suite of services, the Center equips blind and low vision Alaskans with the skills needed for independent living and community engagement. Training includes personal management, safe travel, adaptive communications, and job preparation.
Why Your Donation Matters
Your generous contributions can transform lives. A monthly gift of $50, $75, or $100 supports vital rehabilitation and vocational training programs. A $25 monthly donation for a year sends a camper to Camp Crescendo, our summer camp for visually impaired youth. Even a $10 monthly gift can provide essential tools like white canes or talking watches.
