Our Story

In 1973, a team of 14 to 15-year-olds from the Japanese Boys League visited California for friendship baseball games, igniting a passion for international understanding. This led to the establishment of the International Boys League in 1982, dedicated to fostering goodwill through annual youth baseball tournaments.

Impact

Over 250 Alameda players have experienced cultural exchange by staying with families in Japan, building lasting friendships through the love of baseball.
