Our Story

The Alameda Theater complex, completed in 1949, served as a vibrant Mexican-American entertainment venue, showcasing performances from renowned artists across the Americas. In 1994, the City of San Antonio acquired the property, leading to a partnership aimed at restoring and reopening the theater as a multi-media live performing arts and film center, dedicated to celebrating the American Latino-Multicultural Story.
