Founded in 1951, the Parents Association for Retarded Children of San Mateo County, now known as PARCA, began as a grassroots effort by parents advocating for their children with developmental disabilities. Over the decades, PARCA has transformed into a vital nonprofit organization, providing essential services such as independence training and family support. Today, PARCA continues to lead the way in enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities in San Mateo County.
