Our Story

Compelled by the staggering scale of human trafficking in San Diego, the Alabaster Jar Project was founded to provide essential housing and resources for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. What began as a ministry of a local church evolved into a standalone nonprofit in 2013, receiving tax-exempt status in July 2014. Today, Alabaster Jar Project operates Grace House, a long-term residential program, and the Resource Center, a drop-in center offering clothing, toiletries, referrals, and various development programs.

Impact

In 2023, Alabaster Jar Project served 360 survivors, achieving an impressive 89% success rate in helping them transition to healthier next steps. The programs are designed to operate at roughly one-fifth the cost of other government services, maximizing the impact of every dollar donated.
