Al-Maa'uun

Our Story

Founded in 2009 and based in Masjid An-Nur, Al-Maa'uun is a volunteer-led nonprofit dedicated to alleviating poverty and oppression in Black and communities of color in North Minneapolis. Inspired by the Holy Qur’an, the organization emphasizes neighborly needs and collective effort.

Impact

Al-Maa'uun has made a significant impact by providing essential services such as Meals on Wheels to 180 seniors, mentorship to over 50 youth, and second chance housing for over 100 residents facing homelessness or incarceration.
