Our Story

The Airport Corridor Transportation Association (ACTA) is a dedicated nonprofit Transportation Management Association based in Robinson Township, part of Pittsburgh’s western suburbs. Established in 1990, ACTA emerged from a collaboration among the Port Authority of Allegheny County, Bayer Corporation, and local stakeholders to tackle anticipated traffic congestion due to economic growth. Today, ACTA unites private sector businesses and public agencies to enhance transportation efficiency along the Parkway West, serving the community and businesses in the Airport Corridor.

Our Impact

ACTA supports over 275 businesses in the Robinson/North Fayette commercial area through its on-demand shuttle service, rideACTA, ensuring guaranteed rides to work. The organization has successfully advocated for transportation improvements, developed partnerships, and implemented programs that expand travel options, foster economic development, reduce congestion, and improve air quality.
