Our Story
Founded in 1988 by concerned residents, Air Alliance Houston emerged to combat the smog affecting the Houston region. Originally named the Galveston-Houston Association for Smog Prevention, the organization evolved through a merger with Mothers for Clean Air in 2001, strengthening its advocacy for air quality and environmental health. Renamed in 2010, Air Alliance Houston focuses on reducing public health impacts from air pollution through research, education, and advocacy.
