Our Story

Aiki Extensions was founded in 1998 by Don Levine, a University of Chicago sociology professor and aikido instructor. Inspired by the application of aikido in nontraditional settings, AE began with a small group of U.S. collaborators and has since expanded to a global network. The organization focuses on extending Aikido principles to address everyday challenges, fostering peace and collaboration among practitioners worldwide.

Our Impact

Aiki Extensions supports a growing international network, providing a platform for sharing ideas and promoting peace. Initiatives like the PeaceCamp Initiative and the Seed Grant Program exemplify the organization's commitment to applying Aikido principles in various domains, creating lasting change in communities.
