Founded thirty years ago by Harry Shealy and Iris Freeman, the Aiken Land Conservancy was established to safeguard Aiken’s extraordinary green spaces from rapid and unmanaged development. Today, ALC stands as a nationally accredited organization, dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of Aiken while supporting vital community projects.
