Our Story
Aid to Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties, known as ADFAC, began in the 1970s when local volunteer Kathy Stimpson dedicated her time to assist families in crisis. As her health declined, a group of dedicated volunteers from local churches came together to continue her mission. In January 1987, ADFAC became a 501(c)(3) public charity, expanding its reach and services to meet the growing needs of the low-income community.
Our Impact
ADFAC is committed to helping families achieve stability and self-sufficiency.
