Our Story
The Agricultural Stewardship Association (ASA) is a dedicated nonprofit land conservancy focused on protecting local farmland and working forests from development. Since 1990, ASA has conserved over 30,890 acres across 171 properties in Washington and Rensselaer counties, making it one of New York State's few land trusts committed to preserving working farms and forests.
Impact
With a goal to reach 45,000 acres by 2030, ASA has successfully conserved over 32,243 acres on 177 properties, ensuring the vitality of agriculture and forests in the region.
