Reducing Disease, Injuries, and Fatalities in Agriculture
Improving Health and Safety of Agricultural Workers

Our Story

The Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America (ASHCA) is dedicated to creating a safer work environment for American agriculture. Established in 2007, ASHCA unites over 50 organizations, businesses, and safety professionals to tackle ongoing and emerging safety and health issues affecting farmers, ranchers, and agricultural workers.

Our Impact

Agriculture has a fatality rate eight times higher than the all-industry average, with 551 workers dying annually and 88,000 suffering injuries. ASHCA aims to change this by providing coordinated safety information and programs to address the most pressing occupational hazards in agriculture.
