Our Story

The Agricultural Justice Project (AJP) was founded by immigrant farm workers and community-scale farmers who united to create a fair and just food system. This initiative addresses the injustices faced by farm laborers and establishes social justice standards that exceed the USDA’s National Organic Program.

Our Impact

AJP has successfully launched the Food Justice Certification program, setting high standards for labor and trade practices across North America. This program provides free consultations and certification for BIPOC-led and community-scale farms, fostering a more equitable food system.

Why Donate?

Your contributions to AJP support the empowerment of farm workers and community-scale farmers, ensuring fair labor practices and promoting social justice in the food system. Donations fund essential technical assistance, certification programs, and outreach efforts that directly benefit marginalized communities.
