Our Story
In 2010, Carolyn Phinney discovered a pressing need for nutrient-dense produce in her community. Inspired by the challenges faced by the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, and the high costs of healthy food options in schools, she envisioned a solution. With the support of local leaders, she established the CoCo San Sustainable Farm, which later became AgLantis. This nonprofit harnesses treated wastewater to grow fresh salads for schools and food banks, transforming a community challenge into a sustainable agricultural solution.
